The Holy Spirit...Ruach haKodesh

The third person in the Godhead is the Holy Spirit/Ruach haKodesh (Hebrew)

John 14:16-18 "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper that He may abide with you forever-

The Spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in You.

I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

You've made the decision to accept Jesus/Yeshua (Hebrew) as your Lord and Savior.  You now have the free gift of Salvation.Upon receiving the gift of Salvation, you also receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 8:14; I Corinthians 12:13) The Spirit of God.  He is Divine. The Holy Spirit now lives in you.  He is your Power Source. He, however, is not forceful.  He waits patiently for you to invite Him into your circumstances.  He is omnipresent as evidenced in Psalm 139:7-8.  Wherever we go, He is there.  We only need to call on Him.  He is that still, small voice and as we grow in our faith and allow Him to rest, rule and reign in our lives we will see Him and feel His presence. John 16:13 says "When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide us into all truth.  He will not speak on His own. He will speak only what He hears (from the Father) and He will tell you what is yet to come"

We can do NOTHING without the Holy Spirit and expect to lead victorious lives.  We must be ever cognizant of His presence, know when He speaks...we must have a discerning spirit which only comes through prayer, study of the Word (Bible) and listening for and to His voice...we must LISTEN.  The Word says "My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow Me." John 10:27

Since our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, we must do nothing to grieve the Holy Spirit. We must live by the Commandments given to us by the Father and we won't grieve the Spirit.

Suggested Prayer: Abba FatherAs I yield to the Holy Spirit, I believe that my steps are ordered by You.  I commit and yield to your guidance alone.  I pray that my thoughts become agreeable to Your will and so my plans are established and succeed.  May I always walk in Your plan for my life.  May Your perfect will be done.  In Jesus' Name I pray.  Amen
